Moshi, 14th May 2024: A brutal murder occurred in Borhadewadi, Moshi, on Friday (10th May) night, involving the fatal striking of a young man with a cement block. The accused in this heinous crime was apprehended within 12 hours by the Anti-Gunda Squad of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC). Police investigations have unveiled that the motive behind the murder was the accused’s anger over the victim’s alleged abuse of his wife.

The arrested accused has been identified as Sandeep, also known as Sandy Dashrath Deshmane, aged 25 and a resident of Kasarwadi. The deceased has been identified as Ketan Nivritti Kondhalkar, aged 28 and a resident of Pimpri. Police Constable Sandeep Mandvi has complained about this incident at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode, an unidentified body was discovered in Borhadewadi. Police investigation identified the deceased as Ketan Kondhalkar, who was determined to have been murdered. A case about this incident was registered at the MIDC Bhosari Police Station.

Concurrently, the Anti-Gunda Squad conducted an independent inquiry into the crime. They obtained Ketan’s mobile phone and conducted a technical analysis. Beginning the day before the murder, the police commenced questioning individuals within Ketan’s social circle. During this process, the police received information indicating that Ketan was in the company of his friend Sandeep Deshmane on the night of the murder.

Police officers entered Sandeep’s residence, but he was not present. Members of the Anti-Gunda Squad, including Mayur Dalvi, Sunil Chaudhary, Shubham Kadam, Sham Baba, and Ganesh Medge, initiated efforts to trace Sandeep’s whereabouts.
