Pimpri, 13th October 2023 : The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has issued a stern warning to the authorities, urging them to address the deteriorating road conditions in Pimpri Chinchwad. The party has demanded immediate repairs to rectify the numerous potholes and pits that have emerged on the city roads.

The MNS has voiced their concerns, indicating that if the governing bodies fail to take prompt action to fix these road hazards, they will initiate a protest. The deplorable state of the roads has led to a series of minor accidents and, in some unfortunate instances, even resulted in the loss of lives among the city’s residents.

Despite these alarming issues, the government has seemingly turned a blind eye to the pressing matter, much to the chagrin of the tax-paying citizens who rightfully expect better infrastructure. This lack of attention to road maintenance has persisted for over a month since the conclusion of the rainy season, causing deep dissatisfaction among the people of Maharashtra, said the party members.

Furthermore, the MNS has demanded a thorough investigation into a chlorine gas leakage incident at the Kasarwadi Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar swimming pool. The party has called for action to be taken against the responsible officials and employees following a comprehensive inquiry into the incident.

This call to action was made during a meeting attended by various MNS officials, including City President Sachin Chikhli, Women’s wing President Seema Bepapurkar, and other party representatives. The MNS members also held discussions with Additional Commissioner of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Pradeep Jambhle Patil, to address these pressing concerns.
