Pune: MLA Sunil Tingre Goes On Hunger Strike In Front Of PMC Building, Demanding Development Works In His Constituency

Shivajinagar, 6th April 2023: Vadgaonsheri MLA Sunil Tingre is on a hunger strike since this morning in front of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), demanding the implementation of development works in his constituency. Despite raising objections to the municipal administration and the government many times, no action has been taken yet.

Tingre stated that Vadgaonsheri assembly constituency is important due to the presence of airport, many IT companies besides residential areas. He was a corporator before becoming an MLA and had implemented many development works through the municipal administration at that time. However, the current city president of BJP Jagdish Mulik, who was the MLA of Vadgaonsheri, could not deliver on his promises to implement projects and reduce traffic congestion.

Tingre warned that if Maharashtra state government and the municipal administration do not take notice of his symbolic hunger strike, a more severe agitation will follow.
