Pune: Minor Worker Dies in Fatal Fall from 19th Floor At Under Construction Site, Wakad Police Launch Investigation
Wakad, 5th July 2024: An incident occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad where a minor boy lost his life after falling from the 19th floor of an under-construction building at the Kohinoor Sapphire Society project in Tathawade, under the jurisdiction of Wakad Police Station.
The victim, identified as Prashant Balaji Jamdad, aged 17 years and 7 months, hailed from Chakan and originally belonged to Nanded. A case has been registered at the Wakad Police Station in connection with this incident.
According to a police official from Wakad Police Station, the minor was employed as a helper at the construction site and had only recently started working there. The accident occurred as he was descending after completing his work for the day. Despite being rushed to Aundh District Hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His relatives notified the police later that evening.
