Pune: Milk Tanker Overturns After Collision with PMPML Bus in Dive Ghat
Pune, 26th October 2024: A milk tanker overturned after colliding with a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus in Dive Ghat on Friday morning, around 7 a.m. In the accident, several youths practicing for police recruitment sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The PMPML bus was traveling towards Saswad from Wadki when the milk tanker was coming from the opposite direction. At the second bend of the ghat from Wadki, the tanker driver lost control of the vehicle, colliding with the bus. The tanker then veered off towards the mountainside, made a U-turn, and overturned into the valley.
Upon learning of the accident, local residents Praveen Modak, Shivaji Kalane, Mukesh Undre, and Harish More rushed to the scene. They called for an ambulance to transport the injured to Chintamani Hospital in Saswad and contacted the police to report the incident.
