Pune Metro Route May Extend To Saswad Via Hadapsar
Pune, 18th June 2021: The Pune metro project may get a new route from Swargate to Saswad. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has ordered a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this route.
Speaking about this Hadapsar MLA Chetan Tupe said, “Earlier the demand was made to extend the route between Shivajinagar to Hadpsar to Loni Kalbhor. There was also a demand for a metro route between Hadpsar to Saswad and we have demanded to extend the Swargate – Hadapsar route till Saswad.”

He added, “We also followed up for this demand. To consider this demand and act on it positively the government approved the Swargate – Hadapsar – Saswad route and Deputy CM Pawar ordered a DPR for both Shivajinagar- Lonikalbhor and Swargate- Saswad route.”
The proposed metro route will help to solve the traffic issues in Hadapsar and DPR will help to boost the metro construction on this route. We will keep following up on this project, said MLA Tupe.
