Pune Metro Introduces Stricter Measures for Ticketless Travelers

Pune, 29th November 2023: In a bid to enforce ticketing regulations and ensure a smooth commuting experience, Pune Metro has declared that passengers caught traveling without tickets will face a fine of Rs 85.

The official communication regarding this penalty was made through Pune Metro’s verified social media account on X (formerly Twitter). The announcement emphasized the imposition of an Rs 85 fine for passengers found without a valid ticket during their journey.

The Pune Metro system has recently undergone regulatory revisions, necessitating that passengers commence their journey within 20 minutes of purchasing a ticket from the starting station. Failure to adhere to this time limit will result in a fine of Rs 10 per hour, with a capped maximum penalty of Rs 50.
