Chandan Nagar, 18th April 2025: In Pune’s Chandan Nagar area, a 22-year-old man, Pradeep Babasaheb Adagale, was brutally killed after a prolonged dispute stemming from allegations of molestation involving the accused’s sister. The conflict escalated when three individuals, including Rishi Kakade and his mother Sunita Kakade, attacked Pradeep near Tata Garden on Thursday night around 11 pm. They struck him on the head with a piece of tile, causing severe injuries that led to his death early Friday morning at Sassoon Hospital.

Police reports reveal that Rishi Kakade, who runs a vegetable business, had been in conflict with Pradeep for over a year due to the molestation allegations against Pradeep toward Kakade’s sister. On the night of the incident, a quarrel involving a minor escalated, resulting in Pradeep being called to Tata Garden where the assault occurred. Pradeep was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, and the police initially registered a case of attempted murder. However, following his death at 7 am today, the charges have been upgraded to murder.

Chandan Nagar Police have arrested Rishi Kakade and his mother, while a minor involved in the incident is in custody. Senior Police Inspector Seema Dhakane is overseeing the investigation.
