Wakad, 16th April 2022: A 17-year-old girl was raped by a man who entered her house at Wakad, under the pretext of asking her for a glass of water. The incident came to light after the victim became pregnant.
According to Pimpri Chinchwad police officials, the incident took place in February. The accused aged about 25 years threatened to kill her once he entered the house and raped her. She was alone at home. The victim was disturbed by the incident and did not inform anyone.
The incident came to light when the girl became pregnant. When her mother learnt about the rape, she registered an FIR with Wakad Police Station.
Police are searching for the unidentified accused.
