Strict ID Checks for Counting Room Entry: Maval Returning Officer

The Returning Officer of the Maval constituency recently reviewed preparations for the June 4 counting day at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex (Balewadi Stadium).

A total of 1,530 employees and officers will be deployed on counting day for all six assembly seats in the Maval parliamentary constituency.

Instructions have been issued to deny entry into the counting center, including candidates, without valid ID proofs from the election department.

“Counting representatives will be allowed entry after verification of their ID cards and a copy of Form 18 given to them by the candidate. Candidates will undergo two levels of inspection before entering the room,” said the Returning Officer.

The counting process will take place in over 150 rounds for all six assembly segments, including both postal and EVM votes. Candidates can deploy one counting representative per EVM counting table, five representatives for the postal counting table, and one representative at the returning officer’s table as per the rules.

Traffic Diversions:

An order issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vishal Gaikwad restricts vehicle movement on the road in front of the stadium’s main gate from Uttam Sweet (Puneri Sweet) Chowk to Mhalunge police chowki.

Motorists can use alternative routes. Vehicles from Chande-Nande and Mhalunge village can turn right at Uttam Sweet Chowk or Mhalunge police chowki to reach Radha Chowk and then proceed to their destination. Vehicles from Radha Chowk can turn left at Mhalunge Police Chowki to move towards Mhalunge and Chande-Nande.

Parking Arrangements:

The road between Mhalunge Police Chowki and Uttam Sweet Chowk has been reserved for workers of the MVA. An open space behind Khandoba Temple near Radha Chowk can be used for parking. The service road between the Orchid Hotel gate and the bridge on the Mula River is reserved for Mahayuti workers.

Other candidates and their workers can park their vehicles on the premises of Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Mhalunge.
