Pune: Maharashtra Police Wireless Training Centre Glorified With Union Home Minister’s National Trophy

Pune, 12th September 2022: On the occasion of Republic Day 2022 Ministry of Home Affairs declared the Trophy Winning Police Institutes and Maharashtra State Police Wireless Training Centre, Pune to be awarded by National Level Union Home Minister’s Trophy for Best Police Training Institutions.

It has been felicitated in category: Training Institution for training of Non-Gazetted Officer for the year 2020-21 along with cash reward amount of Rs 20 lakh.

This Trophy was conferred to Maharashtra Police Wireless in the 52nd Foundation Day Ceremonial Function of BPR&D held on 9th September at New Delhi and received by Addl. DGP Retesh Kumaar, who was then Director of the Academy, at the hands of Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Union Home Secretary.

Earlier, Maharashtra State Police Wireless Training Centre, Pune had received Zonal Level (Western) Union Home Minister’s Trophy for Best Police Training Institutions under the category: Training Institution for training of Non-Gazetted Officer for the year 2018-19 along with an amount of Rs two lakh.

Maharashtra Police Wireless Training Centre, is the only training centre for Technical Training in Maharashtra and is situated in the Police Wireless Headquarters on Pashan road, Pune. It was established in 1967. Since 2016 till date over 4000 officers and personnel have been trained in the fields of Communication, IT and advanced Technologies.
