Pune: Maharashtra Government to Develop Food Processing Park in Junnar Taluka

Pune, 31st July 2024: To create employment, a Food Processing Park will be established in Junnar Taluka, Pune, using various policies from the Central and Maharashtra State Governments. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Pune District, Ajit Pawar, has provided directives for this project.

The Maharashtra State Government is committed to setting up the Food Processing Park at Umbarwadi, Junnar Taluka, through schemes from both the Central and State Governments. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has instructed District Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase to inspect the site with local MLAs. Additionally, pending issues in Baramati MIDC and concerns regarding farmers in Chakan MIDC were also discussed.

New MIDCs in Gadchiroli, Amravati, Nashik, Ahmednagar

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar emphasized that industries play a crucial role in boosting Maharashtra’s income and generating employment. He directed that complete proposals be submitted promptly for establishing MIDCs in Desaiganj (Gadchiroli district), Lingdev (Akole Taluka, Ahmednagar district), Surgana (Kalwan Taluka, Nashik district), Jambutke (Nashik district), and Warud (Amravati district). Additionally, he directed that at least 100 acres of land be made available for setting up new MIDCs across Maharashtra.
