Pune, 16th July 2024: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Probationary Officer Puja Khedkar is currently embroiled in several controversies. The string of issues began with reports of her installing a beacon and writing ‘Maharashtra Government’ on her private Audi car. Shocking revelations have continued to emerge, including a viral video of her mother threatening farmers with a pistol and allegations of a shady disability certificate for the IAS exam. In light of these developments, Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) Rashmi Shukla has demanded a report on the matter.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar mentioned that the DGP Office has demanded a detailed report on all the happenings in the IAS Puja Khedkar case. A case has been registered against her mother, Manorama Khedkar, at Paud Police Station under Pune rural police for threatening farmers with a pistol. Although Manorama Khedkar had a firearm license, she violated its terms and conditions, prompting the issuance of a show-cause notice. She has been asked to explain the situation, and if a proper explanation is not provided, action will be taken against her.

Pune CP Amitesh Kumar also mentioned that under sections of the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988, a fine has been imposed on the private Audi car for installing the beacon and writing “Maharashtra Government.”
