Bhimashankar, 2nd September 2024: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde faced challenges due to bad weather, which necessitated an emergency change to the landing spot for his helicopter. This caused chaos for the Pune District Administration.

Chief Minister Shinde is on a Bhimashankar tour today with his family for Darshan and Abhishek at the temple. However, due to bad weather, his helicopter could not reach Bhimashankar as planned. Due to heavy rainfall and thick fog in the area, the original landing spot, which was Ambegaon in Bhimashankar, was changed to Landewadi in Bhosari, which is approximately 100 kilometers away from Bhimashankar by road.

The Bhimashankar area of Pune district has been experiencing heavy rain for the past two days, with dense fog covering the ghat, which caused obstruction in the helicopter’s approach. The administration acted swiftly to adjust the landing to Landewadi.

Today, being the last Shravan Somwar (Shravan Monday) of the Shravan month, Chief Minister Shinde’s visit was pre-planned for religious rituals. After completing Darshan and Abhishek at the Bhimashankar Temple, the Chief Minister will proceed to Thane.
