Pune: Live-in Partner Kills Woman After Argument, Leaves Body at Her Mother’s Residence in Wakad

Wakad, 11th September 2024: A woman was murdered by her partner, with whom she had been in a live-in relationship. The man transported her body in an autorickshaw and left it in front of her mother’s home, located near the Kalewadi Cremation Ground. This incident came to light this morning.
The victim has been identified as Shivani Somnath Supekar, 27, a resident of Thergaon.
According to police reports, the suspect, Vinayak Awale, and Shivani had been in a live-in relationship for the past two years. Yesterday, they argued over a minor issue, which is suspected to have led to the murder. It is believed that Vinayak choked her to death around midnight. Afterwards, he transported her body to her mother’s home in an autorickshaw and left it there. Vinayak is currently absconding, and Wakad Police are investigating the matter further.
