Pune: List Of 30,000 Criminals Prepared To Crime In Check
Pune, 15th February 2023: Preventive action has been taken by the police against 10,973 criminals in the city to curb crimes such as creating terror by Koyta (chopper), snatching gold chains from two-wheelers, murders, and burglaries. Due to the terror incidents of the Koyta gang, the issue of law and order in the city has come to the fore. Accordingly, the police took this measure.
The police personnel of every police station in the city as well as the crime branch team have been ordered to monitor the movements of criminals. The police have prepared a list of 30,000 criminals in the city who have committed serious crimes. Police have launched this special campaign to crack down on crime. Accordingly, criminals will be checked regularly.
Security has been put in place at sensitive places. Four criminals in the city have been sent to jail under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA). They will be kept in jail for a year.
The crime branch informed that 43 criminals in the city have been busted and action has been taken against 75 criminals in 12 gangs under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). The patrolling policemen will be given pistols and modern bikes and a special team of trained police personnel will be formed to take action against criminals.
