Pune: Labourer Found Dead in Baner, Murdered by Blow to Head

Baner, 10th June 2024: A labourer who had been missing for two days was found dead in Pune, having been murdered by a blow to the head with a stone. The incident occurred in Dhankude Wasti of Baner, leading to Chaturshringi Police registering a case of murder. The motive behind the murder remains unknown.

The deceased individual, Nana Vitthal Chadar (36), a resident of Wakad, was reported missing by his brother, Sachin Vitthal Chadar (34), who also resides in Wakad. The Chaturshringi Police Station received the complaint yesterday and promptly registered a case under IPC section 302 (punishment for murder) against the unknown perpetrator.

According to police reports, the deceased, Nana Chadar, was a labourer with alcohol addiction. Two days prior, he went missing. Yesterday morning around 11 AM, police received information about a dead body discovered in Dhankude Wasti of Baner. Upon arrival, police confirmed the identity of the deceased as Nana Chadar and determined through postmortem examination that he had been murdered by a blow to the head with a stone. A case has been registered against the unknown perpetrator.

The motive behind Nana’s murder and the identity of the perpetrator remains unclear. Senior Police Inspector Ajay Kulkarni of Chaturshringi Police Station is leading the ongoing investigation into the matter.
