Pune: Khadakwasla Dam To Increase Water Discharge To 25,036 Cusecs From Noon Today

Pune, 29th July 2024: The water discharge from Khadakwasla Dam into the Mutha river basin will be raised to 25,036 cusecs, up from the previous 22,880 cusecs at noon today, following continuous rainfall in the catchment area.

Sub Divisional Engineer of the Mutha Canal Pathbandhare Sub Division, Pune-37, explained, “There is a possibility of reducing or increasing the discharge again depending on the amount of rain and its arrival.” This adjustment aims to manage the river flow and mitigate potential flooding risks.
