Pune: Katraj New Tunnel Closure For Six Hours, Satara To Mumbai Traffic To Affected

Pune, 17th March 2023: Traffic going from Satara to Mumbai through the Katraj New Tunnel will be affected by closures from 11 PM to 2 AM on March 18th to 19th, and on March 23rd to 24th, 2023, to install a VMS and VSD system. During these times, traffic will be redirected from Old Katraj tunnel to Katraj Chowk, Navale Bridge, Vishwas Hotel to Service Road towards Mumbai. Traffic going from Mumbai to Satara will continue as usual.

Once the VMS and VSD system is installed, traffic from Satara to Mumbai will be restored through the new Katraj Tunnel. The Project Director of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Sanjay Kadam, has requested citizens to take note of these changes and cooperate with the government. Mumbai to Satara traffic will not be affected.

It is important to note that these closures may cause inconvenience to commuters traveling between Satara and Mumbai during the affected times. Therefore, it is advisable for individuals to plan their travel in advance and use alternative routes to avoid the affected areas.
