Pune: Kamshet, Vadgaon Maval Bars Face Legal Action for Time Violations

Lonavala, 12th August 2024: Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Satyasai Karthik of the Lonavala Sub-Division has taken legal action against two Orchestra Bars for violating time regulations. Since taking charge of the Lonavala Sub-Division, ASP Karthik has targeted illegal businesses and wrongdoers. Under the jurisdiction of the Pune Rural Police Force, restaurants and hotels must adhere to specific time restrictions. However, some establishments have failed to comply. ASP Karthik was alerted to these violations through a confidential source.

On 10th August, ASP Karthik and his team conducted raids on the targeted establishments: Deepa Bar and Restaurant in Kamshet and Flavours Family AC Restaurant and Bar in Vadgaon Maval. Both were found to be serving food and liquor beyond the permitted hours. Legal action has been taken, and a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Maharashtra Police Act of 1951. Officials from the Kamshet and Vadgaon Maval Police Stations are investigating further.

ASP Karthik has stated that such actions will continue to ensure compliance with the time limit orders imposed by the Pune Rural Police. This operation was carried out under the guidance of Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh and Additional Superintendent of Police Ramesh Chopade. The operation was successfully led by ASP Satyasai Karthik.
