Baramati, 22nd August 2024: A juvenile accused has been murdered in Pune’s Baramati. He had gone out to purchase goods for his birthday party, and on his way back, a gang attacked and killed him. The murdered juvenile had previously been arrested on murder charges. It is suspected that he was killed by the group due to past animosity. This incident occurred last night around 8 PM in Jalochi, Baramati Taluka.

The victim has been identified as Ganesh Dhulabapu Waghmode (age 17). Navnath Chormale (age 39) filed a complaint with the police. A case has been registered against six unidentified individuals at Baramati City Police Station. Waghmode had a criminal history.

According to reports, while returning home with supplies for his birthday celebration, Ganesh Dhulabapu Waghmode was attacked by unidentified men. The attackers struck him on the head with a sharp weapon, leading to his death. Given Waghmode’s history as a criminal, it is suspected that his murder was due to prior animosity. Five Detection Branch (DB) teams have been formed and have been investigating since yesterday.

Previous Murder Involvement Suspected

Reports suggest that Waghmode’s involvement in a past murder case may have led to his death. Around two years ago, Waghmode, along with two other 17-year-olds, attacked a man named Shashikant Karande. The conflict reportedly began over a girl, which led to a fight between Karande’s son and the trio. When Karande tried to mediate the situation, the trio, in a bid to create fear in the area, attacked him. The Baramati City Police had arrested them at that time.
