Pune: Juvenile Vehicle Thief Arrested in Mundhwa Police Solve 10 Cases and Recover Rs. 2.75 Lakh

Mundhwa, 15th December 2023: Mundhwa Police achieved a significant breakthrough in their efforts to curb juvenile crime, particularly in vehicle thefts.

During routine patrolling in the Mundhwa Police Station limits, Constable Dinesh Rane spotted a minor who had a previous arrest record related to vehicle theft. When questioned about the two-wheeler he was riding, the minor failed to provide a satisfactory explanation, arousing suspicion among the police.

Upon verifying the vehicle records, it was confirmed that a case under IPC 379 (Theft) had been registered at Mundhwa Police Station, linking the minor to the stolen vehicle. Further interrogation revealed that the juvenile had stolen a total of 10 two-wheelers from Hadapsar, Mundhwa, and Lonikalbhor.

The Mundhwa Police successfully recovered all 10 stolen vehicles, solving 10 cases of vehicle theft. The seized vehicles, valued at Rs 2,75,000, were restored to their rightful owners.

The action was taken under the guidance of DCP R Raja, ACP Ashwini Rakh, and Senior Police Inspector Vishnu Tamhane. The team included Police Inspector Sandeep Jore, Police Constables Dinesh Rane, Santosh Kale, Santosh Jagtap, Dinesh Bhandurge, Rahul More, Swapnil Raskar, and Sachin Patil.
