Pune: Iron Mesh Will Be Installed On Ghat Area Of Sinhagad Fort
Pune, 7th October 2022: To avoid any accidents due to cracks falling on the ghat areas of Sinhagad Fort, the protective iron mesh will be installed by the Public Works Department. For this, the Forest Department has given a fund of Rs 1.5 crore rupees to the Public Works Department. This work will be started immediately after the end of the monsoon.
While going to Sinhagad fort on the ghat, there is a risk of a sudden landslide. Due to this, the road is often closed and traffic jams occur. Also, if someone is travelling on a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler, this crack can fall on them.
Therefore, considering this matter, the Forest Department has requested the Public Works Department to install iron protective mesh on the entire ghat road immediately. Funds are also provided for the same.
The Public Works Department has inspected the entire road for this purpose and has erected guardrails at four places. Work will start soon on entire other roads as is not possible to work now as it is rainy season. So the work is likely to start after the monsoon.
The Public Works Department has taken information about where there is a dangerous turn on ghat areas. The Forest Department is telling everyone that vehicles should not be stopped on the roadside.
