Katraj, 28th January 2024: A financial fraud has come to light as a resident of Ambegaon Pathar filed a complaint against seven individuals at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, Pune City Police.

The accused, identified as Hanumant Tukaram More, Namdev Ankush Gaikwad, Rajshree Ramchandra Raste, Anil Chavan, Rupali Anil Chavan, Sasikala Maruti Wadgave, and Suresh Gorakh Kumbar, allegedly swindled Digambar Popat Gaikwad (38), along with his friends and relatives, of Rs 3.25 crore.

The police report indicates that Namdev Gaikwad and Raste, two of the accused, enticed Digambar Gaikwad to invest in forex trading, promising a 20 percent return every month. The duo claimed to represent a company named Creation Traders And Developers LLP.

Gaining the trust of the complainant, a total of ₹3,20,000 was deposited into Gaikwad’s bank account as an initial investment. Encouraged by the apparent success, Gaikwad, along with 20 others, including friends and relatives, invested a total of ₹2,85,00,000 in the company. Additionally, ₹40,00,000 was handed over in cash.

Despite the substantial investment, the accused allegedly cheated the investors out of ₹3,25,00,000 without providing any returns. The police have registered a case against the seven suspects based on Gaikwad’s complaint.
