Pune: Inauguration of Iron Ladder at Raireshwar Fort Commemorating Historic Oath of Swaraj
Bhor, 2nd December 2023: MLA Sangram Thopte led the inauguration ceremony of the newly erected iron ladder on the road leading through Rairi in Taluka Bhor at Raireshwar Fort.
Raireshwar Fort holds historical significance as the site where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj took the oath of Swaraj.
The iron ladder, a key addition to enhance accessibility to the fort, was inaugurated as part of the Forest Tourism Development Scheme, with a total expenditure of Rs 7,24,000 funded by the government’s forest department.
The program, organized by the Forest Department, witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals, including Bhor Forest Range Officer Shivaji Raut, Forester VT Pawar, Rairi Sarpanch Sunita Shankar Kindre, Kisanrao Kank, and others.
The iron ladder initiative not only enhances the accessibility to Raireshwar Fort, a site embedded with historical and cultural importance but also aligns with the broader goal of promoting forest tourism development in the region.
