Pune: Husband Arrested for Strangling Newly Married Wife in Dehu

Dehu, 24th June 2024 – A tragic murder case has emerged in Dehu Gaon, Pune district, involving the death of Pratiksha Jaideep Yadav (21), who was allegedly strangled by her husband, Jaideep Arjun Yadav (30). The accused has been swiftly apprehended by the Dehu Road Police and presented in court, where he has been remanded in police custody until 27th June.

Jaideep Yadav stands accused of murdering his wife Pratiksha and attempting to dispose of evidence by discarding her body and his mobile phone into the Indrayani River to cover up the crime.

Upon receiving the report, the police promptly responded, with Police Constable Kiran Rajabhau Patil filing a complaint at Dehu Road Police Station leading to Jaideep Yadav’s arrest. He has been remanded in custody for seven days by the court.

Pratiksha, daughter of Bhimrao Kore, a salon professional from Dehu Gaon, had pursued her education up to M.Sc. with the support of her father. She had married Jaideep Yadav, who completed his diploma in engineering from Vita, Sangli, just two months ago.

The investigation is under the supervision of Police Sub-Inspector Prabhakar Khanse. Pratiksha’s relatives in Kurundwad have been informed about her untimely demise. Following a post-mortem examination at YCM Hospital in Pimpri, her body was handed over to her parents and cremated at Krishna Ghat.
