Pune, 10th September 2024: The Pune-Hubli Vande Bharat Express will run from September 15 after the approval of the Railway Board. This train has eight coaches and will be the latest Vande Bharat Express.

The train will have halts at Dharwad, Belgaum, Kolhapur, Miraj, Sangli, Satara and Karad stations. The inauguration ceremony will be held at Pune station at 11.45 am and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train through video conference.

Punekar were waiting for the Vande Bharat Express from Pune for almost two years. However, the train is not going to be under the Pune division, but of the Hubli division. Therefore, the responsibility for its maintenance will be of the Hubli department. The coaches will be cleaned after the arrival of Vande Bharat Express in Pune.

Vande Bharat Express will depart from Hubli station at around 5 am and reach Pune at 4 pm. The train will leave Pune at 4.45 pm and will reach Hubli at 1.50 am.

To reduce the increased travel, it has been decided to provide service to Kolhapur every other day. Hence, it is informed that the train will stop at Kolhapur station on the Hubli-Pune journey. But on the return journey, the train will run directly via Miraj instead of going to Kolhapur.

A speed of 110 km per hour has been fixed for the Pune-Hubli Vande Bharat Express. But it is reported that this train will run at this speed in only at a few places. The train will run at a speed of 55 km between some small stations in the Pune to Satara section.

Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager, Pune informed that Pune-Hubli Vande Bharat Express will create better connectivity between the two cities. Stoppages have been ordered at stations like Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, and Karad stations which will provide convenience to the passengers in the area.
