Pune: Hinjawadi and Wakad Traffic Routes Change Today For Lord Mhatoba Procession
Hinjawadi/Wakad, 6th April 2023: Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police has implemented traffic restrictions and diversions on several routes today where the traditional Bagad procession was scheduled to take place. This is in light of the rally for Lord Mhatoba, the village deity of Hinjawadi and Wakad.
Between 4 pm and 10 pm, the Traffic Police has changed the traffic route in Wakad and Hinjawadi areas, and urged citizens to use alternative routes. Several traffic routes were closed and alternative routes were suggested.
The Wipro Circle Phase 2 to Wakad Naka route will be closed, with alternative routes being Tata T Junction Chowk, Laxmi Chowk, and Bhumkar Chowk. Geometric Circle to Wakad Naka will also be closed, with alternative routes being Mezza9 Chowk, Laxmi Chowk, and Bhumkar Chowk.
The Shivaji Chowk to Bhumkar Chowk route will be closed, and the Indian Oil Chowk to Vinode Vasti Chowk route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative route being from Shivaji Chowk to Wakadgaon, and Vinode Vasti Corner to Indian Oil Chowk, Wakad Naka, and Shivaji Maharaj Chowk.
The Vinode Vasti Corner to Laxmi Chowk and Bhumkar Chowk route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative route being from Vinode Vasti Corner to Indian Oil Chowk, Wakad Naka, Sayaji Hotel underpass, Wakad Bridge, or Wakadgaon.
The Mulla River Bridge puncture to Wakad Naka, Bhujbal Chowk route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative being to use the direct highway instead of the service road. The Satara Lane from Wakad to Surya underpass via Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk will also be closed, with the suggested alternative being to take the Radha Chowk U-turn on the highway to Bhumkar Chowk.
The Wipro Phase 3 via Bhumkar Chowk, Bhumkar Vasti Road route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative route being Marunji Y Junction via Bhumkar Vasti via Vinode Vasti Road and Laxmi Chowk. The Vinode Vasti Chowk to Kasturi Chowk route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative route being via Bhumkar Chowk.
The Mankar Chowk to Wakadgaon Chowk route will be closed, with the suggested alternative route being to turn right from Mankar Chowk via Chhatrapati Chowk Kaspte Vasti. Utkarsh Chowk to Wakadgaon route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative route being to turn left from Utkarsh Chowk via Chhatrapati Chowk Kaspte Vasti.
The Sayaji hotel underpass to Wakad Naka route will also be closed, with the suggested alternative route being to take a left from the underpass via Waghmare Circle.
Kaspate Chowk to Wakadgaon route will be closed, with the suggested alternative route being to turn right from Kaspate Chowk via Jagtap Dairy Kalewadi Phata and from Kaspate Corner to Wakadgaon Chowk to reach the desired destination.
