Khadakwasla, 7th April 2023: The village of Khadakwasla has been plagued by a massive traffic jam due to the consecutive holidays. Hundreds of tourists and locals from surrounding villages have been stranded in their vehicles for one and a half to two kilometers on both sides of Pune-Sinhagad Road.

The main road in Khadakwasla village is under construction, which has caused the traffic to be diverted through the outer road. This has led to local vehicles being parked on both sides of the outer road, and a narrow bridge at one place has obstructed the traffic. As a result, citizens are stuck in traffic for hours, causing frustration and inconvenience.

The situation is made worse due to the lack of manpower of the Haveli Police. They have been unable to manage the traffic and are struggling to cope with the overwhelming number of vehicles on the road. The slow speed of the roadwork has added to the woes of the citizens.

The traffic jam has affected the plans of many tourists who are visiting Khadakwasla, Sinhgad, and Panshet for the consecutive holidays of Good Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The situation is further compounded by the narrow roads, which have made it difficult for vehicles to pass through.

The Assistant Police Inspector of the Haveli Police Station, Niranjan Ranware, has appealed to the local activist to help ease the traffic. He acknowledged that the police force is struggling with the lack of manpower, and additional help is needed to manage the situation effectively.
