Pimpri Chinchwad, 2nd June 2024: The road from Mukai Chowk in Kiwale to Bhakti Shakti Chowk in Nigdi, along the BRTS route, is severely damaged, particularly in the Adarsh Nagar area. Citizens demand urgent repairs or the complete closure of the road, stating that the current condition endangers lives.

Since the beginning of the rainy season, around 30 people have had minor to major accidents on this slippery and incomplete road. Although the road was accessible after the completion of the flyover, it has not been officially opened for traffic. The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) plans to invest Rs 14 crore to complete the road, but until then, commuters must contend with the current hazardous conditions.

While the road is technically accessible, certain sections remain in dire condition. Following the completion of the flyover, people began using the road. Yuva Sena leader Rajendra Taras has warned that if the road is not repaired promptly, they will stage a protest by sitting in the road’s pits.
