Pune: Haveli Taluka To Be Divided Among Two Separate Tehsil Offices

Pune, 15th March 2022: Due to urbanization in the last two decades, the workload has increased at the Haveli tehsil office. To ease the burden on this office, the Maharashtra state government will take a positive decision on the proposal to set up an additional tehsildar’s office at Loni Kalbhor, said Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat in the state Assembly.

 

Haveli taluka in the Pune district consists of 160 villages with a population of about 40 lakh. MLA Adv Ashok Pawar and Bhimrao Tapkir pointed out that the administrative system is crumbling in the view of urbanization.

 

Replying to a question in this regard, Minister Thorat said that approval has already been given to set up an Additional Tehsil Office at the Pimpri-Chinchwad area. Accordingly, at present, the work is being done through the original Haveli office and Additional Tehsil office at Pimpri-Chinchwad. A decision on setting up of Additional Tehsil office at Loni Kalbhor will be taken immediately.

 

There are 46 talathis functioning in 160 villages in Haveli taluka. The government has the given approval to fill 3165 talathi posts, under which vacancies of talathi in the concerned areas will be recruited immediately, said Minister Thorat.
