Pune: Hadapsar Police Parade Perpetrators of Violent Rampage

Hadapsar, 21st December 2023: In a disturbing incident on the night of 18th December (Monday), a violent confrontation unfolded in the Markandeynagar area of Vaidwadi, Hadapsar, leaving the complainant, Tanaji Khilare (49), injured and property damaged. The assailants, armed with iron weapons, targeted Khilare due to a recent complaint filed against them by Vishwas Ganesh Khilare, the complainant’s nephew.

The attackers assaulted Tanaji Khilare with iron weapons and stones, causing injuries. They proceeded to vandalize parked motorcycles and cars in front of the residence, damaging seven to eight vehicles. Additionally, windows of local bakeries and provision stores were smashed and damaged during the rampage.

The incident, which occurred around 10 pm, took place opposite Annabhau Sathe Sanskrutik Bhavan in the Markandeynagar area of Vaidwadi, Hadapsar.

Promptly responding to the situation, an FIR was registered at Hadapsar Police Station. The Hadapsar Police, through their detection branch team, identified and apprehended the accused individuals responsible for the violent acts. The arrested adults include Aniket Ravindra Patole (23), Aditya Ravindra Patole (21), Lakhan Balu Mohite (19), Tushar Balu Mohite (18), Hasanil Ali Senego (19), Gaurav Vijay Jate (19), Pankaj Vitthal Kamble (21), and Omkar Mahadev Dede (20), all residents of Vaiduvadi, Hadapsar, Pune. Additionally, five minor boys have been detained in connection with the incident.
