Pune : Gutkha worth Rs 1.61 lakhs seized in Aundh by Pune police

Pune, March 14, 2020: The officials from Pune city on March 13 raided three shops in Aundh and seized Gutkha worth Rs 1.61 lakhs.

Acting on tip-off received by Additional Commissioner of Police (East Region) Sunil Phulari, a joint team of the Chatushrungi police station and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted the raid under supervision of ACP (Khadki division) Laxman Borate.

The team seized Gutkha worth Rs 1.52 lakhs from Satish Bhagat’s Paan Stall near Parihar Chowk and his house located on DP Road, Aundh; Gutkha worth Rs 1872 seized from Vithal Mullya’s Paan Stall near Parihar Chowk, and from Babulal Chaudhary’s M/s Aaimata shop, the banned substance worth Rs 7347.

The team which raided the shops included API Vaibhav Pawar and policemen Laxman Bangar, Satish Chavan, Arun Sable, Satish Munde, Rupali Bharekar, Satish Landge and FDA officer Swati Mhaske and her team.
