Pune 12th Sept 2023: After the commuters complained of heavy traffic jams at the newly inaugurated NDA chowk, the guardian minister Chandrakant Patil said that a review meeting will soon be held to address the issue and necessary action will be taken to solve the problem. He said that instructions for necessary steps will be passed on to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the district administration in the review meeting.

The chowk was renamed at the time of inauguration from Chandni Chowk to NDA chowk and the newly constructed flyover here was expected to solve the traffic problem. However, the commuters complain that the traffic issues worsened as they remain stranded for hours during the peak hours.

Meanwhile, the NHAI officials claim that the several works including finishing work at the site are still underway for which the road is often closed for vehicular movement for a short period which leads to traffic jams. The officials further claimed that the works will soon be over as they are in the last phase and the issue is likely to be solved once that is completed.

The project was inaugurated by Union Minister Of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at an event organised on August 12. Deputy Chief ministers of Maharashtra and other concerned officials also attended the meeting.
