Pune: Green Groves Society Celebrates Ganpati Festival with Cultural and Sports Extravaganza
Wagholi, 12th September 2024: The Green Groves Society in Wagholi celebrated the Ganpati Festival with great enthusiasm from September 7 to 11, as the entire community came together to partake in the vibrant festivities. The five-day celebration was packed with cultural and sports events, fostering a spirit of unity and joy among the residents.
The cultural activities featured a variety of performances, including energetic dance routines, melodious singing, and heartfelt poetry recitations. In parallel, the sports events added an exciting competitive edge, with Kabaddi, Shot Put, Family Cricket, and Badminton drawing enthusiastic participation. The winners of these sports events were awarded medals generously sponsored by Bharat Global School, while participants in the cultural activities received prizes sponsored by Shanti Juniors, Baif Road.
One of the highlights of the festival was an engaging karate demonstration by Bhushan Bhandalkar, a skilled instructor, and his students from Shatkon Global Japan Karate Academy. Their performance showcased both discipline and technique, adding a dynamic touch to the event.
On the final day, the entire society gathered for the Visarjan, bidding a heartfelt farewell to Lord Ganesha with prayers for His blessings on the community until His return next year. The emotional and devotional atmosphere reflected the deep spiritual connection of the residents.
The cultural committee of Green Groves Society, led by a group of like-minded volunteers, played a pivotal role in organizing and executing the event seamlessly. Their dedication ensured that every detail of the festival was meticulously planned and enjoyed by all.
