Pune: Government To Depollute Godavari, Indrayani, And Chandrabhaga: CM Shinde

Alandi, 9th September 2024: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed that plans are being prepared for the depollution of rivers Indrayani, Chandrabhaga, and Godavari. The work of the river will start soon. He assured to make these three rivers pollution-free. He also said that the government stands by the farmers who have suffered losses due to heavy rains.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the 93rd and 70th Abhishtchintan celebrations of Maroti Maharaj Kurekar and Ramrao Maharaj Dhok held at Fruitwala Dharamshala in Alandi. Public Works Minister Dada Bhuse, MP Srirang Barne, President of Pune Division of MHADA Shivajirao Adharao Patil, President of Warkari Shikshan Sanstha Sandipan Maharaj Shinde (Hasegaonkar), Sanjay Maharaj Pachpore were present on this occasion.

On the said occasion, Shinde said that the Saint tradition and Warkari community is the glory of Maharashtra. The spiritual and religious foundation of the Warkari community is greater than any political foundation.

The government has taken up the policy of development of forts and pilgrimage sites. CM Shinde informed that the government is trying to modernize Maharashtra in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, education, industry, health, infrastructure, and information technology.

The state government started the stalled projects. Development projects like Missing Link, and Atal Setu were implemented on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. CM Shinde also said that Maharashtra is the leading state in industry and foreign investment and 52 per cent of the total foreign investment in the country has come to Maharashtra alone.
