Pune: GHRCE Students Clinch First Prize in Tech Alchemy Hackathon

Wagholi, 30th March 2024: In a remarkable feat, third-year students Lakshya Makode and Tejas Mundhe from the Department of Artificial Intelligence at G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management emerged as champions in the prestigious Tech Alchemy Hackathon 2024. Organized by Tech Alchemy, a UK-based company, the two-day hackathon held on March 9th and 10th, 2024, drew over 120 participants, including industry stalwarts, seasoned speakers, and budding technologists.

Tech Alchemy 2024 provided a dynamic platform for participants to tackle coding challenges, engage with industry luminaries, and forge valuable networking connections. The event not only showcased the students’ ingenuity and perseverance but also underscored their proficiency in addressing real-world technological challenges.

Lakshya Makode and Tejas Mundhe, pursuing their studies in TY CSE (AI), delved into the blockchain-based problem statement titled “DeFi: Decentralized Finance.” Their innovative solution, named “Aero Exchange,” crafted using the Solidity language, garnered widespread acclaim from the judging panel, earning them a coveted cash prize of Rs. 50,000. Professor Rachna Sable and Mrs. Pranita Mokal provided invaluable mentorship throughout the project.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director of GHRCEM, Pune, extended heartfelt congratulations to Lakshya and Tejas on their outstanding achievement. He emphasized that their success epitomizes the college’s unwavering commitment to nurturing innovation, excellence, and leadership among its students.
