Pune: Gang Robs Hinjawadi Jewellery Shop, Threatens Owner with Pistol

Hinjawadi, 2nd August 2024: A gang of thieves robbed a jewellery shop in Hinjawadi this morning, threatening the owner with a pistol in broad daylight. The incident occurred at Laxmi Chowk.

According to police reports, the robbery took place at Shivmudra Jewellers, located under the jurisdiction of Hinjawadi Police Station. Around 10 AM, just after the shop opened, three thieves entered the premises. They brandished a pistol and demanded jewellery, beating and abusing the shop owner who was present. After obtaining the jewellery, they fled the scene.

As soon as information about the incident was received, senior officers from Hinjawadi Police Station rushed to the spot. A blockade has been imposed in the city. The incident was captured on CCTV, and a case is being registered at Hinjawadi Police Station.
