Pune: Gang Attacks Two Youths with Koyta in Wadgaon Sheri, Case Registered for Attempted Murder

Wadgaon Sheri, 8th August 2024: A gang attacked two youths with a koyta in Pune’s Wadgaon Sheri area due to a past dispute. Both youths, Uddesh Vilash Shingare (27) and Yash Tarage (19), sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital. A case has been registered against the gang at the Chandan Nagar Police Station.

According to Shingare’s complaint, the incident took place on August 6th at 11:30 PM near Satyam Serenity in Wadgaon Sheri. Shingare and Tarage were chatting with friends when around 10 individuals arrived on five two-wheelers, began abusing Shingare, and demanded, “Where does Vishwya live? Do you stay with him?” The gang then attacked Shingare with a koyta. When Tarage attempted to intervene, he was also assaulted.

The commotion attracted nearby residents, who were also threatened by the gang wielding the koyta. The police have registered a case under charges of attempted murder. Assistant Police Inspector Siddhanath Khandekar from Chandan Nagar Police Station is leading the investigation.
