Pune: Four-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted By Maternal Uncle; Investigation Underway
Ghorpadi, 14th October 2024: An incident has come to light that a four-year-old girl living in a slum area of Ghorpadi was sexually assaulted by her 40-year-old maternal uncle. In this regard, a case has been registered against a person on Monday (14th October) morning, the accused is absconding and the Mundhwa police are searching for the accused.
A four-year-old girl lives with her parents and sister in Ghorpadi, the accused has been acquainted with her parents for the past seven-eight years. A few years ago he used to live next door to them before shifting half a kilometer from the house. He always came to the victim’s house and used to take the victim and her sister for a walk and give them treats.
On Sunday (13th October) morning, the accused came to the victim’s house when her mother was away and took the little girl with him. As the girl did not return home as it became very late, the mother inquired and learned that the accused had taken her.
When the mother went to the house of the accused, she found that the accused had misbehaved with her daughter. She slapped and scolded him on the spot and brought the little girl home. At around 7 pm, when the girl started having pain in her stomach, the mother went to the police station and filed a complaint.
According to the information given by Senior Police Inspector Neelkanth Jagtap of the Mundhwa Police Station, after the medical examination of the girl at night, a case has been registered under the Protection Of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused has a habit of various addictions. He further informed that two teams of Mundhwa police are investigating the matter further.
