Pune: Four Girls Rescued from Deep Pit near ISKCON temple on Katraj-Kondhwa Road

Kondhwa, 8th June 2024: On Katraj-Kondhwa Road, in front of the ISKCON temple, a harrowing incident occurred when four girls fell into a stagnant water pit approximately 10 to 15 feet deep.

The incident happened when the girls accidentally slipped into the pit. Locals in the area acted swiftly, managing to rescue three of the girls safely. The fourth girl, who sustained injuries, remained in the pit until fire brigade personnel arrived and pulled her out, informed fire brigade officer Sameer Shaikh.

The injured girl was promptly sent to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the incident to ensure such hazards are addressed to prevent future occurrences.
