Pune: Four COVID-19 Cases Detected in Manchar; Precautionary Measures Underway

Manchar, 28th December 2023: In a recent health checkup conducted at Manchar Sub-District Hospital, four confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been identified, comprising three women and one man. All four patients are senior citizens hailing from Ambegaon taluka, Pune district. The affected individuals include two patients from Manchar, one from Pilgrimage Vadgaon Kashimbeg, and one from Pimpalgaon Khadki.

As a precautionary measure, all four patients have been quarantined at home. They presented symptoms such as a cold and cough, prompting medical testing due to suspicion. The patients are currently undergoing treatment at home, and health authorities are closely monitoring their condition.

Dr Tushar Pawar, Ambegaon taluka health officer, emphasized the importance of vigilance and urged residents experiencing symptoms like cough, cold, and fever to undergo medical tests. The primary health centres in the area have received instructions to conduct health checkups for individuals with suspected symptoms.

Medical Officer Shweta Gorhane from Sub District Hospital, Manchar urged citizens not to panic but to remain cautious. She emphasized that anyone with symptoms or those who have come in contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients should seek medical examination promptly.

Additionally, two cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Manchar, prompting preventive measures by the Manchar Nagar Panchayat. Public awareness campaigns have been initiated, urging citizens to use masks regularly, take precautions, and care for senior family members. Govind Jadhav, Chief of Manchar Nagar Panchayat, emphasized the need for vigilance and avoiding crowded places whenever possible.
