Pune Fortifies For New Year’s Eve: 4,000 Police Personnel Deployed For Security Measures

Pune, 31st December 2023: As Pune gears up to welcome the new year, the Pune City Police have implemented robust security measures across the city. Approximately 4,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure the safety of citizens during the celebrations.

Pune Police are conducting thorough inspections in sensitive areas, including the Camp area, FC Road area, malls, hotels, lodges, dhabas, buses, railway stations, temples, churches, and religious places.

Appropriate precautions are being taken, with checks on suspects and individuals with a criminal record. The focus is on preventing accidents, ensuring crowd safety, especially for women, and preventing crimes such as chain snatching and pickpocketing.

Checkpoints will be in place, and action will be taken against traffic violations, including triple-seat riding, drunk driving, and modified silencers.
