Pune: Former ZP Education Officer Tukaram Supe Owns Unaccounted Assets Worth Rs 3.95 Crore – ACB

Sangvi, 8th December 2023: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against Tukaram Supe, the former Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council Of Examination and Education Officer, for allegedly accumulating unaccounted assets. Following a re-investigation, the ACB found assets valued at Rs 3.95 crore belonging to Supe. This development comes after Supe’s earlier arrest in a Teacher Eligibility Examination (TET) malpractice case, during which Pune Police discovered assets worth Rs 3.59 crore.

The ACB’s recent case, filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, reveals that Supe has acquired new unaccounted assets. The investigation exposed Supe’s ownership of multiple properties, including a bungalow named ‘Kalpataru’ in Gangarde Nagar, Pimple Gurav, the Sai Darshan building on Alandi Road, and Shri Datta Krupa, a three-storied building at Kate Puram Chowk in Pimple Gurav. Additionally, Supe, along with his family, owns a building in Nandanvan Colony, Bhosari, a flat in Wadala Vihar building in Nashik, and a flat in Alpesh Apartment, Khadakpada, Kalyan, registered in his wife Kalpana’s name. Furthermore, Supe has purchased land in Patgaon, Murbad taluka, in his wife’s name.

Tukaram Supe was previously arrested in connection with malpractice in the TET, during which Pune Police uncovered assets totalling Rs 3.59 crore. The recent case by the ACB adds to the legal woes of the former Education Officer.
