Pune: Former MLA Vinayak Nimhan Passed Away Today Due To Heart Attack

Pune, 26th October 2022: Former MLA Vinayak Nimhan passed away today (October 26) due to a severe heart attack. Nimhan was elected as MLA three times in a row. He was elected twice from the Kothrud constituency on the Shiv Sena ticket. After the division of the Kothrud constituency, he also served as an MLA in the Shivajinagar constituency on the ticket of the Congress party.

 

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has expressed grief over Nimhan’s death.

 

Nimhan started his political career as an ordinary worker of Shiv Sena and reached the position of MLA with his strong organisational skills. Vinayak Nimhan was elected from the Kothrud constituency twice (1999 to 2009) on a Shiv Sena ticket. Later he joined the Congress party along with Narayan Rane and ran on the ticket of the Congress party in Shivajinagar constituency (2009 to 1014).

 

He is survived by his mother, father, wife former corporator Swati Nimhan, son former corporator Sunny Nimhan and two daughters, two brothers, one sister, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
