Pune : Food Delivery Boy Looted By Consumers And His Friends, Three Including Minor Held

Hadapsar 21st Sept 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested two persons and have detained a minor boy for allegedly looting a food delivery boy after ordering food online from a hotel. The accused who works part time at a food delivery company was looted off his mobile phone and cash. Besides, the accused also did not pay the amount for the food order.

The incident was reported in Phursungi gaon at around 1:20 am on September 12. According to the police, the victim had received an order online and accordingly he reached the given location to deliver the food. However, the accused started arguing with him by accusing him of delivering the food late and later took away his mobile phone and cash. One of the accused also got Rs 2,880 transferred from his account using UPI payment.

A case in this regard was registered at Hadapsar Police Station under sections 392 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Accordingly, the police team from Hadapsar Police Station during the investigation nabbed two accused identified as Arun Digambar Raut (20) and Kunal Kailas Gaikwad (20) from Phursungi. A minor boy involved in the crime was also taken into custody. The police have seized a stolen mobile phone and cash worth Rs 10,200 from the accused. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
