Pune: Five Men Arrested In Connection With Firing Of Journalist In Baramati

Pune, 6th November 2022: The local crime branch of the Pune rural police arrested five people, including the innkeeper who shot at a journalist in Baramati. Investigation revealed that the innkeeper and his accomplice opened fire over a petty dispute.

Shubham Vikas Rajpure (24), resident of Rajpurewadi, Murti Medve, Baramati, Tushar Chandrakant Bhosle (22), resident of Rui Pati, Baramati, Tejas Ratilal Karche (21), resident of Suryanagari, MIDC, Baramati), Vikram Lalasaheb Bobde (26), and Suraj Raju Kashid (27), both residents of Rui Sawal, Baramati, were arrested.

On November 3, Ritvik Jeevan Mulik was crossing the road in the Jalochi Road area of Baramati area. At that time, the accused Tushar Bhosle was going on a bike. There was a minor argument between Mulik and Bhosale regarding the two-wheeler. At that time, Bhasle Mulik was beaten and escaped from there. After some time, Tushar Bhosle, companions Suraj Kashid, Shubham Rajpure, Tejas Karche, and Vikram Baebde came there.

The accused beat up Mulik, his friend journalist Ganesh Jadhav, and Atul Bholashankar. The accused fired at him with a pistol. Jadhav was seriously injured in this incident. The accused fled from there. Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal and Additional Superintendent Milind Mohite ordered the arrest of the accused. After that, a team from the local crime investigation branch and Baramati police nabbed the accused.

Police Inspector Ashok Shelke, Police Inspector Prabhakar More, Assistant Inspector Netaji Gandhare, Sachin Kale, Yogesh Langote, Abhijit Sawant, Amit Sid, Prakash Waghmare, Sachin Ghadge, and others investigated and arrested the accused. 13 serious crimes like murder, attempted murder, robbery, extortion have been registered against the accused Rajpure.
