Pune: Five Booked For Digging Public Road Without Permision In Pimpri

Pimpri 26th July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have booked five men for allegedly undertaking a digging work at the public road in Pimpri without taking any legal permission from the municipal corporation. The incident took place at around 11:30 pm on July 24.

According to police, the five accused identified as Sunil Aniruddha Wagh (47), Sachin alias Rahul Vyankat Salunkhe (32), Nitin Ramesh Raskar (40), Siddheshwar Dhanraj Gorade (32) and Parmeshwar Anantrao Gorade (28) were involved in digging of the public road near Chroma Showroom in Pimpri. The work was causing problems to the citizens and no official permission from the concerned department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation was taken for the same, the complaint stated.

The accused have been booked under sections 431, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 3 (2) (a) of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
