The incident occurred at around 7:05 AM. Savita Mali alerted the fire brigade about the fire at Sai Savli Bungalow near Kasturi Market, Thermax Chowk, Pimpri Chinchwad. The fire brigade promptly responded, arriving at the scene shortly after the call.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that both the main entrance and the staircase of the bungalow were locked from the inside, trapping four residents. The parking area was fully grilled, preventing escape, and the staircase was impassable due to the flames.

With the help of cutters, the fire brigade broke the locks on the main entrance and the staircase gate, gaining access to the building. The fire, which had engulfed a meter box, trash, and a chair near the staircase, was brought under control after the power supply was interrupted.
