Pune: Fire Breaks Out In Terrace Library At Navi Peth, No Injuries Reported
Navi Peth, 19th October 2024: A library located on the terrace of a building in Ganjave Chowk of Pune’s Navi Peth, caught fire earlier today. The incident occurred around noon, and the fire was expected to spread rapidly. Citizens at the scene promptly informed the Pune Fire Brigade. Upon receiving the information, four fire brigade vehicles arrived at the spot. Firefighters have been working diligently to control the blaze, and the fire extinguishing efforts are progressing swiftly. The building’s residents were safely evacuated by the fire brigade.
According to initial reports, the fire started on the floor of the library. While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, a short circuit is suspected. The fire has caused considerable confusion in the area, creating an atmosphere of fear among the citizens. Fire officials stated that the fire was brought under control quickly, although smoke continued to linger for some time.
